Try a little kindness

Today, driving out to work, my car dashboard suddenly showed up a red alert signal – EPC – whatever that meant. Took it to the car showroom/workshop in the pouring rain. The service advisor told me that I would have to leave the car there for them to diagnose the problem, but in that rain, I was not inclined, having to call for a taxi. He said it should be safe to drive it if I wanted to go across to the client service counter to make an appointment for the diagnostic check.
